Nations engaged in the degrowth debate
In this section we have mapped the different nations who are participating in an active debate on the internet and uses a latin based alphabet like French, Spanish, Italian and English. The tools we have been using do not recognise different syntax like Chinese, Kryllic nor Japanese language signs.

Popular words used in the French, British and US debates when talking about Degrowth. The US debate has a high variety of word, also indicating that there are many different actors in the debate (see actore page). In the British debate the main focus is on how to transform society, while the French debate is mainly about the concept of Degrowth (Decroissance). Two timelines have been visualized below. One for the French word Decroissance and one for the English word Degrowth. The search goes back to 2004 and it can be seen that the word Degrowth have become very popular since its introduction I 2008. However, there is a declining interest in the word Decroissance
