Degrowth in respect to Ecnomics
Economics
Since the economic crisis started in 2008 degrowth has become an alternative to the dominating debate about growth. The subject of degrowth is still being discussed among it's actors and is therefore not jet clearly defined. Some talk about green- or bio-economics others talk about “decoupling of economic growth” and “ non-monetary indicators”.
Many in the degrowth-movement thinks that the political focus on GNP (gross national product) fill to much in the growth debate, and as of June 14th 2012 they have publiched the non-monytary-indicator called HPI (happy planet index).
The depleation of the oil-reserves is also seen as something that will affect the world economy. (http://ourfiniteworld.com/2012/05/29/gail-tverberg-running-short-of-cheap-oil/) Gail Tverberg
